A Vintage Poster Is Forever

A vintage poster is forever. It matters little whether it is a vintage art poster or one on circus or magic. It can be a vintage dance or ballet poster or one on fashion or cosmetics. Vintage art posters are as sought after as are the ones on aviation or on trains and the posters on coffee or tea or wine or champagne. There are several reasons for the popularity of a certain original vintage poster over others. The rarity of a poster is one of the prime reasons for its popularity. This, of course, depends partly on the age of the poster. Normally, an older poster is also the rare one.

The condition of prime value and will probably over-rule all other qualities. The artist is again a big issue. A poster by a well-known artist will obviously be sought after. The image is a factor, as well. This quality involves other factors like the vivid colors used among others. Sometimes posters are sought-after because of the subject matter. In this aspect, a vintage art poster probably gains over other posters depicting beverages or fruits and vegetables. It’s a pleasure to look at some of the famous vintage art posters like 3 Femmes Pres Du Lac by Robbe who painted it in 1900. The art poster titled Coquillage by the same artist is most impressive as is Flirt Man and Woman at Desk and Mother and Child at Lake. If you’re looking for visual impact, you’ll find it in Three Cars on Yellow painted by Bacci in 1940. It’s absolutely over powering.
